Description
string DomDocument->dump_file
( string $filename
[, bool $compressionmode
[, bool $format
]] )
DomDocument->dump_file() crée un document XML à partir de sa représentation interne DOM. DomDocument->dump_mem() est généralement appelée après la construction d'un document à partir de zéro, comme dans l'exemple ci-dessous. Le paramètre format spécifie si l'affichage doit être formaté proprement ou pas. filename est le nom du fichier dans lequel le document XML sera sauvegardé, et compressionmode indique si le fichier doit être compressé ou pas.
Exemple #1 Création d'un en-tête de document HTML avec DomDocument->dump_file()

The string you pass as a filename should be an absolute path.
For Example:
$doc->dump_file(realpath("test.xml"),false,true);
winghonghibernates at hotmail dot com

Sometimes it maybe strange in the structure of the XML document when using false, true as the two boolean parameters. Using false, false can solve the problem.
